This Week In Year 4...

This week in 4AB we went on our first trip of Year 4 to the Think Tank in Birmingham City Centre.

During the morning, a lady called Sheila talked to us about solids, liquids and gases in a real science lab. We got to wear white lab coats and goggles like scientists and do some experiments ourselves! We made a gas, both out of a solid and a liquid. We also got to make our very own slime!

After that we went into the theatre where we met a Magician (well he seemed to think he was!). He showed us many of his cool tricks. We saw lots of potions and we learnt the difference between an acid and an alkaline.

In the afternoon we moved out into the Science Garden after having a bite to eat. We really enjoyed being in the Science Garden as we got to go on a giant hamster wheel and lift up our own body weight!

School Trip

This week we've also had our Autumn Term Parent Share. A big thank you to all the Mums, Dads, Sisters, Grandads and Nans who were able to make it.

Our new topic is called Misty Mountains and we are going to be doing some work on the Hobbit. Together with our parents' we craftily created some rather super hobbit holes!
