A quest? For me?
As I trekked inside the deep, dangerous forests of Armonia, branches snapped and caught at my loose rags. How long would it take? I had even forgot what I was supposed to be in this life- threatening forest for. I was starving. Sweat dripped down my rags as I scavenged for food in the lifeless bushes and weeds of the forest. It felt more like a jungle to me and I had no supplies to give me maybe another day or two to live. I hadn't bothered to bring my watch into the 'jungle' because I might have put me in even more danger. Who knows how long I could have been in this forest for? I wanted to know. Badly. I wanted my mum but she couldn't be for miles I resulted in telling myself. I heard some noise in the distance so I crouched down and poked my head around a shrivelled bush. Sound and commotion was coming from behind... Ha? An inn, all the way in here? Who would come all the way in here to stay in an inn I wondered. A million questions swept through my mind. I crept through the bushes and weeds towards the commotion. A gun fired and one of the men fell dead. I quickly hid behind one of the inn's walls. The other man kicked the dead body into the bushes and marched past the other inn wall, whistling an old tune which I didn't recognise. Suddenly I spotted a scroll of parchment lying on the floor by the man. I tip- toed toward the strange object.
I opened it up. How strange I thought. I read it through several times trying to figure out what it meant. Finally I got the answer and gasped in shock.
The scroll read:
Dear Mr. Coleman,
The world is in danger, the Ereset people are taking over.
You know what this means. Yes, you guessed it. War. They are going to invade
England. I.e our terriotry. It is endangering our people and as Vice President
I shall not let my country, nor my people get harmed in this stupid war. We
need your troops to defend yours and mine people. We stand together in this.
You know the drill from Military training- fight for each other. Rewards will
shower you if you contribute to this need that shouldn't be happening in the
first place. Find the Ereset people and do whatever you need to do to them to
get them not to destroy our territory.
Yours Sincerely,
Prof. Whitley
