Vampires
Blood oozed off the fangs of the deadly vampire as he stared at me, a sparkle in his eyes. I wondered to myself how unlucky I must be, to be face to face with something that could lunge and kill me at any second. Suddenly the vampire snarled and launched off its padded feet, his snake-filled hair dangling off his crispy scalp. I cowered in the corner of my bedroom willing death to grasp me with speed. However nothing happened. I peeped up from underneath my arms and let out a gasp so loud that the rovers on Mars could probably hear it. An immense amount of energy was being unleashed from my body keeping the vampire millimetres away from me. He was so close I could smell the horrific odour drifting from his face and felt some of its bristling hair brush against my body.
I quickly dashed out of my bedroom, the vampire paralyzed and immobile. I stumbled down my torn stairs and zoomed over to the front door. In a blink of an eye I swung it open and slammed it millisecond afterwards. A giant swarm of vampires were huddling together outside the mahogany door, their fangs bearing, all of them looking for prey. I racked my brains so much that I felt sorry for it but I couldn’t find a way of getting rid of the assembled death machines.
At that moment it clicked. My house has always had a small collection of antique axes and swords. I rushed over to the collection since the vampires were now trying to smash the door to splinters. Next I hauled up a spiky axe and traipsed back to the door. After that I swore under my breath and swung the door open once again. Just then the growling mob of vampires lunged at me but I lopped off three of their heads with the axe I picked up seconds beforehand. A sensation of pleasure swept through my nerves as I powered through another group of, what looked like sneering and laughing, vampires.
Bang, Crash, Wallop and three more useless heads tumbled to the ground lying in a sickening pool of blood. Sensing my power, the remnants of the fatal vampires scampered away so fast that it created a heap of acrid dust. A gleeful grin expanded across my face as an unbelievable thought fluttered through my mind. I just annihilated a bunch of vampires.
