The dance around the tree
The animals from the wood,
Danced around the big tree,
Everyone danced about,
Even the bumblebee!
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did.
The animals from the wood,
Danced around the tree that was big,
As they danced around the great tree,
It wore its leaves like a wig.
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did.
The squirrel, the rat and the big fat cat,
Walked all the way down the road,
They made their way to the big tree,
With all their party load.
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did.
As the music began to play,
All the dancing started,
And as the couples were so happy,
Nobody ever parted.
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did.
The fairytale creatures joined in the fun,
The elves, fairies, pixies and gnomes,
And to join the crowd around the tree,
They came out of their little homes.
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did.
The animals in the band for the dance,
Played instruments at a volume loud,
And what kept smiles on their faces,
Was the cheering of the crowd.
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did.
Then the bees joined in the dance,
When they buzzed in delight,
And because there were so many of them,
They gave everybody a fright.
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did.
And then it was time to go home,
People were waiting for next year,
When the wood king would throw another party,
With all his party gear.
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did,
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did,
They did it, they did it, they did it, they did,
They did it, they did it, they did.
