In year 6 we have been learning about mythical creatures. For our homework we were asked to create our own mythical creature from Theseus and the Minotaur. I really enjoy this topic because I love learning about the stories behind it.

Theseus and the Minotaur is about a Prince of Athens who arrives at Crete, he goes there because his father has told him about King Minos' tragedy. When he arrives there, he sees Princess Ariadne, who guides him through the equipment and how to kill the Minotaur.

Then Theseus sets out on the dangerous adventure to defeat the Minotaur in the labrynth. He finally fights the Minotaur and wins this challenge. When Theseus finishes this adventure he sets off with Princess Ariadne.

However, when Theseus stopped at a nearby island to fetch some water and rest, Theseus left Princess Ariadne on the island and set off back to Athens ( his island ) As soon as King Minos finds about this he suicides himself.

In our English lesson we were told to write the story , but this time we had to change the Minotaur into our own creature that we had done for our homework.
