The Cowardly Lion
On a warm summers day there was a sad lion called Joe who lived at London Zoo. The lion did not like the zoo because of the people staring at him day in and day out. The lion was very fury and soft but was very cowardly, not like the other lions. The enclosure was very small with lots of leaves. All he wanted was to be set free.
One night Joe the lion found a door on the ceiling of his enclosure. he leapt at the door and got out. When he leapt out of the door he hurt his paw. It was quite dark so it was hard to recognise where he was. he found the zoo entrance, and walked a few doors down and found a grand house, suprisingly the door was open. The lion walked through the door and found a girl. The girl was about five years old and had long brown hair which matched her eyes. The girl saw the sad lions eyes. She ran away but came back this time with a bandage . She wrapped the bandage around the lions paw. The girl led him to her room and she heard a knock on the door. It was the zoo keeper who had come to take the lion back to the zoo. The girl handed him over.
When she came home from school she would visit the lion every day and tell him about her day. The lion felt very happy when she came for her daily visit because he would like to hear about interesting day.
