Year 1 and Foundation Key Stage performed this poem as part of our celebration assembly for the new school opening. It was written by Mrs Clements.
A recipe for a happy school
Take an ounce of ideas and a cup of ambition,
A sprinkle of hope and a handful of vision.
Mix with good manners and fun things to learn,
A spoon of excitement then give it a churn!
Stir in respect for our teachers and friends,
A passion for learning that never ends.
Weigh up some friendship and kindness for spice,
With people who help us be friendly and nice.
Add in some beautiful grounds to be free,
A great place to work and a safe place to be.
Now serve up a slice for one and for all,
It tastes delicious, our happy school!
