Ronald Burdett is my grandad,
He died in 2010 and i was sad
He was born in 1923
And had 2 sisters for company

When he was 4 his mum died
And he cried and cried and cried
Whinnie was his step mum after that
He also said his father was really fat.

During that time he married my Grandma
To me they are both a massive star
Because they produced a family
That includes my dad and me

He lived on Ware Road at 129
His house was always clean and fine
He trained to be a pilot in WW2
And then became a member of the
fleet street crew.

During the day, we were involved in a range of activities which provided ample opportunity for us to consider our hero in lots of detail. By the end of the day, each class had produced a class book of heroes and each book contained some fantastic pieces of writing......
Wayne is a pain
When he heads to the train
To go to fight,
Just like a knight
In night and day,
Then he comes home to play
He has been there since he was at school
Cool and tall
Land and sea
What an amazing man is he!

Isaac Newton was a scientist, well-known for discovering gravity. He also studied optics and realised that a prism could decompose white light into a spectrum of colours, and that a lens and a second prism could recompose the multicoloured spectrum into white light. He thought that there were no pain sensors in the eye, so he stabbed himself in the eye.

Midwives are the best of them all
They deliver babies all around the world
They care for babies when they are born
Whether its morning, night or dawn.

Police! Police! there in a thrust,
A very important British must.
Helping people everyday,
In Country, city and seaside bay.

They have really fast cars,
To help put criminals behind bars,
Some are made into Films about a liar,
They 're normally funny -ha-ha.

My grandad was a good officer, he was 45 years old at the time he planned the tactics of the soldiers and formations for them. The most heroic moment of his is when his friend got shot and he helped him and got the medical kit. He was a good officer and he had a mate that he worked with and they got on really well, when it was night they slept in the same room.

Steve is my hero because he works at Solihull hospital where he helps people. He is a rugby coach for Mosely under 13s and every year he sets up a rugby tour to France which takes a lot of organising. The last tour we went to, I cracked my head open on the last day when we were going, he ran 1/2 a mile to get medical help. At the end of the tour i thanked him with a card and a present.
