Key Stage 1
This term our topic is food and we have been busy learning about where our food comes from and what we need to eat to keep healthy.
The Tiger Who Came To Tea
We drew tiger pictures, created tiger dens, made tiger masks and found out information all about tigers in our carousel. In our class work we had a go at writing our own stories.
The Bear Under the Stairs
Where would the bear hide if he came to stay in your house? What food would you feed him to stop him from eating you? We completed all sorts of bear activities, including lift the flap booklets, jigsaws, wordsearches and bear measuring.
The Little Red Hen
The Little Red Hen asked all her friends to help her make bread and none of them would help at all! In the end it was left to Years 1 and 2 to sort it out for her! We planted some wheat, visited Sarehole Mill and made our own loaves, which were delicious! We also wrote our own instructions for bread making.
The Gunpowder Plot
We learned about Guy Fawkes' plan to blow up King James I and the Houses of Parliament.
