ROALD DAHL DAY

On Roald Dahl day we made a huge chocolate cake with Mrs Harrison. This was the cake that Bruce had to eat in the story of Matilda.
We made some crocodiles with snapping teeth from 'The Enormous Crocodile'.
We did an experiment with lemonade, orangeade, cherryade, limeade and cola. We got a bottle and as soon as Mrs Laishley opened the bottle, Olivia put a mint in and it all fizzed up like a water fountain!

On the 20th September, Years 3 & 4 took part in a special day to celebrate 'Roald Dahl Day'.
Roald Dahl is a well known children's author who wrote some fantastic books including; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach and many, many more.
Year 4 have written about what they got up to on that exciting day....
We watched some of the film The BFG to help us with creative writing. We made our own wish bottles like the BFG to bottle our good dreams for the children.
Our dream bottles were made using water, oil, glitter and salt.We wrote dream tags-it was really fun. When we were making we had to think of a dream to make the magic work.
Some of us dressed as our favourite Roald Dahl character!
