Here are some pictures that we took whilst we
were rehearsing. Can you guess which parts of
the ceremony we are acting out?
I enjoyed the play about the
afterlife. I played the person
who was mummified and went to
the afterlife.

On top of all that, we even managed to fit in some painting! We had to work as a team to carefully draw the outlines to a correct scale and then paint it in.
This is the Goddess Isis. Isis was a protective goddess. She used powerful magic spells to help people in need. Isis was also the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus.
This is Jack's finished
amulet of an 'ankh' which
represented life. Can you
spot this amulet anywhere
else on our magazine page?
We also made amulets out of modelling
clay. They are like lucky charms that
the Ancient Egyptians used to wrap
between the layers of linen bandages
when mummifying the dead body!
Today we did drama and made amulets. I made the eye of Horus. My favourite part was making amulets.
