Week Beginning 7th May 2013
This week our story is 'The Enormous Turnip'. We listened to the story and watched a different version on the Interactive Whiteboard later in the week. Several members of the class carefully painted characters from the story for our display board, using all the correct colours. Foundation 1 and 2 worked on ordinal numbers, putting the characters in sequence according to their order in the story. Foundation 2 bought vegetables using 1p and 2p coins to work out different amounts. Everybody in Foundation had a go at designing their own seed packet this week. We folded the packet ourselves, chose which seeds we would like to put inside and drew a picture on the front to advertise our seeds. We used lots of colours to make them look bright and attractive. We continued to watch the growth of our beans and recorded our findings in our bean diary.
