Week Beginning 3rd March 2014
What a busy week we've had in Foundation, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. First off, we have a new story this week; 'The Train Ride' written by June Crebbin. A boy is going on a train journey through the countryside to the coast and spots a number of interesting things through the window. It was lovely to see pictures the children brought in this week and hear the stories about their own experiences travelling on the train. Foundation 2 used a mixture of water and poster based paints to recreate some of the things they were able to see out of the window.
Of course, Tuesday was pancake day so we took full advantage by making and tasting our own pancake, speaking about the various toppings we could add. Some of the conconctions were a little... interesting shall we say. We had all sorts; from the traditional sugar and lemon to tomato ketchup with chocolate. What is your favourite pancake topping?
We had another extra special day on Thursday because it was 'No pens' and 'World Book Day'. Click the link below to view photos of us enjoying our day.
