Week Beginning 29th April 2013
This week we looked at the story of 'Jack and the
Bean stalk'. Throughout the week we have listened
to lots of different versions of this story, some in
books, others on the Interactive White board.
We planted our very own broad beans in plastic
cups. These have been put into a mini greenhouse
outside the Foundation Unit. We have started a
Bean Diary. Every Monday we will check the growth
of our bean and sketch a picture of its progress.
We will be looking for 'Roots' and 'Shoots'. This
week we stuffed a pair of trousers and a blazer to
make a giant which we have used on our 'Jack and
the Bean stalk' display. We drew around our feet,
cut them out and measured them to see who had the
biggest and smallest feet. These foot prints have
been put around the edge of the display.
