Week Beginning 24th June 2013
We have been looking at the story of 'Noah's Ark' in Foundation this week. In this story God sent Noah a message to build an ark as there was to be a flood. Noah did as God said and built an ark big enough for himself, his family and two of every species of animal; one male and one female. As God had predicted, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights, flooding the entire world. For weeks Noah and his passengers floated on the sea until finally, they hit land. Slowly the water started to dry up and God sent a rainbow with a promise; a promise to never send a flood again.

We made our own boats using yoghurt pots and lollipop sticks, adding bits of plasticine and testing if they would float or sink. We also made our own boats in cooking, this time using crackers and cheese spread.
We each painted a rainbow using the seven colours of the rainbow in the correct order and cut them out ourselves to stick on a blue 'sky' background.

Sports day was on Wednesday morning this week, and we were very lucky with the weather! The sun shone
for us! It was a fun-packed morning and thank you to everyone who came out to show their support.
