Our story this week is another book written by Eric
Carle called 'The Very Quiet Cricket'. In the story, a
little quiet cricket dreams of rubbing his wings
together to make a sound just like so many other
animals, but instead... nothing happens, not a sound!
Finally as nights falls he spies another cricket and
attempts to greet her. What happened next Foundation?
Using 2 of our prime colours; blue and yellow, Foundation
mixed different shades of green to carefully paint their
cricket. They then cut their cricket out and made a log
out of paper for it to sit on.
Our display looks fantastic Foundation, good work!
We have seen some big changes in our 'Butterfly Garden'
this week. Take a look at some of the photographs the
children have taken as the butterflies have started
emerging from their cocoons. It will soon be time for us
to let them out of their enclosure and into the wild.
On Wednesday this week we had our Key Stage 1 sports
day and it was a fantastic morning. Thank you to
everyone who took part and for all of you who came to
watch. The parent race at the end was especially
competitive but the children loved it.
