Week Beginning 23rd September 2013
This week our Nursery Rhyme is '5 Currant Buns'.
We practice singing the song and introduce some
actions and characters, a baker with an apron and
5 children with 5 pennies to buy the currant buns.
Our role play area has been transformed into a
bakery allowing the children to use their imagination
in order to recreate the song or run their own bakery
for the day.
This week we cooked, you guessed it, currant buns.
We kneaded our own dough before moulding it into
the correct shape and adding our currants.
