Week Beginning 16th September 2013
We've had a busy start to our new year. This week
we have looked at our first nursery rhyme for the
term, Hickory Dickory Dock. After singing the rhyme
with all the actions, we started to look at different
types of clocks on the interactive white board.
What type of clocks do you have in your home?
The next thing we looked at was the clock face and
together we counted the numbers 1 to 12. We learned
that the two hands on a clock face, one small and one
big, help us to tell the time. Foundation 2 worked
hard cutting numbered squares before sticking them
onto a clock face made from a paper plate. They used
a number line to help them put the numbers in the
correct order.
This week in cooking we made coconut mice using
chocolate buttons for ears and a strawberry lace for
a tail.
