This week in maths we have been looking at money. At home see if you can find a pile of different coins to help with you homework – e.g. in your money box or borrowed from a kind family member!
1). Practice making totals of all the different coins there.
2). Talk about how you could make the coin amounts in different ways. E.g. how could you make 20p in different ways such as 2 x 10p coins or 4 x 5p coins.
3). If you are buying anything in a shop, can you total two or three small items using strategies we have used this week?
