WALT: Write a newspaper article about Christopher Columbus.
OSCA: Write in third person.
TASK: You are going to pretend you are a journalist for a newspaper, and you have to write an article on Christopher Columbus off on his voyage again. You can include a picture and you need to write in third person.
Reminder what points make a good newspaper article:
- Make your headline short
- Write your report in third person
- Use the first sentence to sum up what the story is about
- Use paragraphs to help the reader clearly understand the information
Below are some examples, but you can make this however you like, by hand or on the computer :)
