Year 6R 2013-14
We have discussed the rights of children and have decided which rights were particularly important to us in class. We created a charter to show our top five most important rights while in school and have all signed the charter to show our willingness to ensure all children have these rights.

We have been looking at Van Goch's 'Starry Night' and have been creating mixed media works using watercolour paints and oil pastels.
We have made scale models of our Solar System. We used our DT, maths and reading skills to read about the planets, work out the relative diameters of the planets and used a compass to draw the planets. We then used coloured card, paper plates and string to create our scale models of the Solar System.

The planetarium came to school!
Year 5 and 6 were able to expand on their already impressive knowledge about space and the universe. It was lots of fun to crawl into the large blow up dome and investigate the cosmos.

We have now finished our block of French lessons with Madame Johnson and we are now able to converse in at least three languages!
