Can't You Sleep Little Bear?

Maths Day & Science Week

We have had some very exciting visitors this week! We learned how a Nurse and a Police Officer use Maths everyday in their jobs. We practised counting in 2's and 10's, we also did some adding and subtracting to help the Nurse to find out what was wrong with her patient. We have also been learning about everyday language related to time as well as making and looking at some clocks and watches. The story of 'Can't You Sleep Little Bear?', has inspired us to make caves using playdough and we were very keen to retell the story in our very own cave in our classroom. Thank you to those parents who supported their child to complete a science project this week, we have loved listening to our friends tell us fascinating facts. As part of Science Week we have also been learning about bears and the challenge this week has helped us to find out more about them.
