Lions

On this webpage will find out about lions.

The facts you will find out about are: their diet, their habitat, their behaviour and their appearance, that will be rather interesting. Trust me lions are fast runners for sure!

Lions have golden fur as gold as a gold tooth. Also a lioness gives birth to 2 to 5 cubs. And the cubs have light spots on their furry fur. Interestingly, lions are the only cats that live in groups. A group of lions is called a pride of lions.

Interestingly, lions spend 16-20 hours a day sleeping or resting. Female lions do 80-90% of pride hunting whilst the male lions patrol the territory and protect the pride.

Did you know that lions usually hunt at night?

Their prey includes antelopes, buffaloes, zebras, young elephants,

rhinos, hippos, wild hogs, crocodiles and giraffes.

But they also eat smaller prey like mice, birds, hares, lizards and tortoises.

They don't mind stealing from other carnivores, like hyenas, wild dogs, cheetahs and leopards, or scavenging meat.
